Log & Lumber products available at The Mill

We specialize in locally harvested timber products, including lodgepole (aka "beetle kill" and "blue stain") pine, Engleman spruce, douglas fir, and aspen. We are also one of the last circle saw mills operating in the United States. Our rough lumber is coveted for both interior an exterior projects because the circle saw marks are reminiscent of reclaimed wood.

A note regarding our return policies:

We accept exchanges within 2 weeks of purchase, with a 10% re-stocking fee. MATERIALS MUST BE RETURNED AT THE TIME OF EXCHANGE. Materials must be in the original condition.
We do not offer refunds.
We do not accept returns on special orders.

Logs & Poles

We source our logs on both public and private lands in the north-central Colorado Rockies.

Character Logs

Unique Character Logs in a variety of native Colorado wood types. Trees are hand selected for their wood grain, protruding knots, and exposed core spots.

Rough Cut Lumber

We mill rough cut lumber in a variety of nominal dimension sizes. The circle saw marks are prominent, and give our lumber a look and texture reminiscent of reclaimed wood.

Siding

Quality log siding in a variety of native Colorado wood types, including Blue Stain Pine. Available hand hewn on one or two sides.

Slabs

First cut of variety of native Colorado wood types, can be used for a variety of applications.

House Logs

House logs up to 45 ft long and in a variety of diameters.

S4S and Tongue & Groove

Quality Tongue and Groove paneling, available in square or bevel edge.

Flooring

Quality real wood flooring available in a variety of native Colorado wood types. Joined by square edge tongue & groove.

Firewood

Firewood is available on a first-come-first-serve basis. FIREWOOD, CHIPS AND SAWDUST SALES ARE CASH ONLY.

Native Colorado Wood Types Available

Douglas Fir

Color is light brown with darker growth rings and contains hints of yellow and/or red.

Engelmann Spruce

Engelmann Spruce is a cream to white color (shown here stained) and is used for indoor general construction.

Lodgepole Pine

Heartwood is light reddish/yellowish brown, sapwood is yellowish white.

"Blue Stain" Pine

"Blue stain" or "beetle kill" pine is lodgepole pine that has been killed by the mountain pine beetle. The byproduct of this bark beetle is a beautiful blue coloring (stain) in much of the dead-standing pine we harvest.
